Healthy Eating for Healthy Living

Today, human beings are more concern about their health than a few years back. In a conversation with the young generation of today, the concern about being living a healthy life is revealed clearly. Foods that can cause weight gain or any malfunctions of the human body system are strictly avoided by them. Seeing them the older generation has also become careful about their food habit but the urge for the tasty snacks are never seen to lose its charm.

Seeing the increasing necessity for healthy recipes, different recipes came into the forefront. Even attempts are made to make healthy recipes tasty. Searching on the web there are numerous recipes found that are healthy and tasty.

One of the attempts towards a healthy future can be using less amount of oil. So, here is a recipe that needs only one teaspoon of oil to get cooked. This recipe can be ideal for evening snacks, even the little ones like it too.

Here you go;

Ingredients:

Sooji – 2 cups

Oil – 1 tea spoon

Chana dal – 1 ½ cups (soaked and grind)

Garam masala – a pinch

Cloves and pepper grind masala – a pinch

Salt – to taste

Coriander leaves – ½ cup chopped

Water – as per need

Method:

Take a bowl and pour the sooji in it. Add 1 tsp of oil to it and mix. After the oil had mixed well, add water and give the form of dough (not a tight one).

In another bowl, take the chana dal and add salt, coriander leaves, garam masala, and the cloves & pepper masala to it. Mix well. If you prefer to have a spicy one, and then add chili to it otherwise the mixture tastes great without chilies because of the pepper powder.

Make the small portion of the dough and give it the shape of the small roles. Pour some mixture of chana dal in it and close, leaving only one side open.

Take a bowl of water and put it in heat. When the water starts to boil, put the pedas in it. Leave it for 20 minutes. Cut the pedas.

Your pedas are ready to serve on the plates
