The JRG group was founded in 1924 by Late Shri Jagadish Rai Gupta, son of Late Shri Seth Seetharam Sahuwala. His first tryst with the food industry began with the establishment of a dal mill in Rajasthan, and the JRG Group has since evolved and flourished in various other industries and markets in India. Our founder’s strong commitment to delivering the best and highest quality in everything established was the secret ingredient of his success. This dedication, along with the large scale growth of the branded FMCG industry and organized retail sector in India in the early 2000’s, paved the way for JRG Group to create their own food brand by the name of ‘RISHTA’ in 2000.
‘RISHTA’ commenced operations in Bhubaneshwar, Orissa. With a vision of being a global fresh food brand, Rishta has been rapidly growing and its products are now available in many Indian states like Punjab, West Bengal, Delhi, and Andhra Pradesh. With its latest entry into the Garden City of India – Bengaluru – Rishta is making its presence felt in yet another state in Southern India.
